Dr Clement Abasinaab Apaak, MP for Builsa South Constituency on May 4 presented assorted medical items to the Builsa South Health Directorate to facilitate proper health care delivery in his constituency.

The items received by the District Health Director, Dr. Zakariah Adams included; Glucometers, HB meters, Disposable gloves, Cotton wool, Digital BP Apparatus, Gauze Rolls, Sterile Gloves, Weighing scale, Bleach, Fetoscopes, and Bins.

Other items were Haemoglobine strips, Matresses, Autoclaves, Analogue BP Apparatus, Sterilizers and Bedsheets, to be distributed to all health facilities, including the CHPS compounds within the Builsa South Constituency.

Presenting the items, Dr. Apaak thanked the health workers for their tireless efforts in these trying moments. He indicated that, the items delivered were requests he had placed long before Covid-19 arrived in Ghana.

Dr. Apaak, added that this wasn’t the first time he was supporting the Health Directorate.

In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the MP earlier donated PPE worth GHC15,000  from his personal resources to help equip health workers in the Builsa South Constituency adequately.

Other interventions in health by the MP within this year, Dr. Apaak added, include; the purchasing of furniture and fixtures for some health centres, connecting four CHPs compounds to the national grid and the repairs of the Builsa South District Health Ambulance.

Receiving the items at the Health Directorate, the District Health Director thanked the MP for the kind gesture, he added that, the items will go a long way to help them in the discharge of their work.The Health Director also pledged that he will ensure that the health items get to all the health facilities within the Builsa South Constituency.
