The Ghana Music Awards Foundation has announced it will hold a virtual concert in honor of frontline health workers who are leading the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

The President addressing the nation yesterday announced the extension of the ban on public gathering till the end of the month.

The virtual concert is has been slated for Sunday May 17 and will air live at 9:30pm on TV3 as well as social media.

The event is meant to inspire hope, support the fundraising effort of the Covid-19 National Trust Fund in support of the front-line health workers, and to lend a voice to the ‘Wear A Mask’ Campaign.

PRO for Charterhouse Robert Klah said “Music is a force for good and on Sunday the 17th of May, we would like to use this music to rally a national applause for our frontline health workers. They are our heroes; we doff our hats to them”.
