Ghanaians stuck in Nigeria and seeking to come home are to pay $800 to be airlifted by government.

This was disclosed in a statement by Ghana’s High Commission to Nigeria on Friday.

President Akufo-Addo ordered the closure of Ghana’s borders after cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. The borders have remained shut for the past two months.

 

Ghana has recorded over 300 more cases of COVID-19 increasing the country’s tally to 7,616 from 7303, according to latest figures released by the Ghana Health Service.

The recoveries have also increased marginally to 2,421 from 2,412 while the death toll still stands at 34.

The Greater Accra region continues to be the epicentre of the virus in Ghana with over 70 per cent of the total number of infections.
