The National Coordinator of Nasara Club, a youth wing of the governing New Patriotic Party, Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa, has urged the Muslim community to observe social distancing protocols that have been put in place to curtail the spread of COVID-19 as they prepare to celebrate Eid-ul-fitr on Sunday.

Mr Futa, hinted that this year’s celebration would be unusual with the Muslims expected to observe the celebration at their respective homes.

He made this known when he donated some bags of rice and sugar to some Muslim residents at Old Fadama ahead of Sunday’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.

He reiterated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s commitment to ensuring that Ghanaians are safe in the period of COVID-19 pandemic.
