Sintex group of companies, a leading plastic manufacturing company in Ghana has donated one hundred thousand Ghana cedis to the Covid-19 National Trust Fund to support the execution of their mandate of mitigating the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the needy and vulnerable in the country.
The marketing manager, Mr Isaac Addo Asare, and The Executive Director of Sintex, Mr. Karan Budhrani, presented their cheque on behalf of the Sintex Group Chairman, Mr. Ashok Budhrani, and the Managing Director, Mr. Manoj Budhrani to the fund at a brief ceremony held at the offices of the trust fund.
Mr Addo Asare in a brief remark noted that the management of Sintex Group of Companies is indeed impressed with the measures government has put in place to stop the spread of the novel Coronavirus, Covid-19 within the Ghanaian territory. He added that the donation of GHc 100,000.00, forms part of the corporate social responsibility of Sintex Containers Ghana Limited.
“We are indeed impressed with the measures the government has put in place to control the spread of the Coronavirus and will urge the general public to follow and also encourage other corporate organizations to support the fund,” Mr Addo Asare said.
Trustee of the Fund
Archbishop Justice Offei Akrofi, a member of the board of trustees for the Covid-19 National Trust Fund received the donation on behalf of the fund. He registered the appreciation of the fund, government and the people of Ghana to the owners of Sintex for their kind gesture. He assured the leadership of Sintex that their donation as well as all other donations will be put to proper use for the benefit of the needy and vulnerable in society.
