The Dansoman branch of telecom giant, MTN, was brought to a standstill after Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu Ekulful, slammed the Branch Manager for not enforcing Social Distancing at the company’s premises.

In a viral video on social media, customers can be seen gathered outside the premises of the telecom company awaiting their turn to be attended to when the Minister, who was passing by the office premises alighted from her vehicle and questioned the customers on why they were not practising social distancing.

The visibly surprised Minister who is also the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, where the MTN office is located lectured the residents on the dangers for not adhering to social distancing and how dangerous COVID-19 is.

Responding to the Minister on why he had failed to enforce social distancing at the office premises, the obviously confused manager stated that the customers were not adhering to instructions given them.

In the 1 minute 30 seconds video which has viral on social media, the Minister could be seen taking a picture of the Branch Manager before she proceeded to warn him that his failure to enforce social distancing could easily put all his staff in harm’s way.
