President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has saluted Ghanaian workers for their selfless contributions towards nation-building as Ghana joins the rest of the world to celebrate May Day.
In a message to Ghanaian workers, the President said “We recognise and appreciate the efforts and sacrifices they have made towards the construction of the happy and prosperous Ghana we seek, and, on this day, I say Ayekoo to each one of you.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has also hailed Ghanaian workers for their hard work and patriotic contributions as the world celebrate workers today 1 May.
“On the occasion of Workers’ Day, I congratulate Ghanaian workers for their hard work and patriotic contributions towards the development of our country. God bless our workers. God bless our homeland Ghana,” the Vice President wrote in a Facebook post on Friday.
May 1 every year is set aside as a day to celebrate workers across the globe.
