A member of the 4 Infantry Battalion of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) who contracted Coronavirus disease while on a mission at Obuasi in the Ashanti region has recovered from the virus infection.

According to Brigadier-General Joseph Aphour, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Kumasi Central Command, the officer who was isolated for medical treatment in line with the Covid-19 treatment protocols in Oboasi has reunited with his colleagues in the barracks.

The GOC of the Kumasi central command disclosed this while speaking with the media in Kumasi during a Zoomlion disinfection and fumigation exercise in the barracks.

The Fumigation and disinfection in the barracks will affect schools, offices, accommodation, churches, mosques and other facilities.

The exercise, aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19 and to improve the well-being of personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) who are considered as frontline service providers.
