Some delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the Anyaa-Sowutuom constituency have said the MCE for the area Dr Emmanuel Lamptey will secure a landslide victory in the Saturday’s primaries of the party.

According to the delegates, the MCE has acquitted himself well since assuming the position.

Incumbent MP for the area Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey pulled out of the race at an early stage. Other candidates contesting the seat tomorrow include Emmanuel Tobin, Madam Edna Sackey, Dr. Adomako Kissi and Nana Ama Asafo Boakye.

“He will win hands down. He has delivered even as MCE, we have no doubt that he will make us proud as MP,” Nana Kojo, a delegate told Starrfm.com.gh

Meanwhile, the Asenso Boakye camp in the Bantama NPP primaries is accusing the incumbent MP Daniel Okyem Aboagy of working with elements within the opposition NDC after he published a book containing his achievement.

The MP, who has accused his opponent of vote-buying, calls the achievement document – The Blue Book.

The book details a number of interventions including provision of 35 Mazda cars, 15 motorbikes, help for the aged and the needy in Bantama, townhall meetings as well as capital projects undertaken under his watch.

But campaign spearhead for the deputy chief of staff and former MP for Bantama Henry Kokofu insists the blue book is a borrowed concept from NDC.

He further said the MP has failed in all his 2016 promises to the people of Bantama.
