Municipal Chief Executive for Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah today June 29 toured Junior High Schools in the area to ensure compliance to the Covid-19 safety protocols.

Madam Sandra expressed satisfaction, as the schools adhered to the protocols, with Vernica buckets, Tissue paper, Hand sanitizers, Water and soap placed at vantage points. Teaching, non-teaching staff and students all had their nose masks on.

Speaking to the media during a tour of the La Bawuleshi Presby school, she said “today is their first day at school. So, we came to wait for them and welcomed them.”

“The children did their best as they came with their PPE. When we got here they had their Veronica buckets, tissues , sanitizers etc. All the teachers wore their masks.”

She added “I am surprised and very happy that the school followed the directives.What caught my attention was their adherence to social distancing. They comported themselves very well.”

She thanked the teachers for their dedication and love for their work as they resumed work. She also encouraged them to continue the hard work until the 11 weeks elapses.
