Legon cities goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda has advised players on the local scene to cultivate the habit of saving to make it in life.

There have been several players who have failed to make a living out of what they earned during and after their careers.

The former Ashgold, Okwahu United and Enugu Rangers shot stopper wants local players to live a low life in other to save the little salary they earn.

“I am not praising myself but I know how to manage because I have been in difficult times so you need to believe in yourself and keep saving the small you get.”

“Don’t wait to get a big deal before you try to save because if you earn at least 700 cedis, you can save small out of it and leave a low life,”he told Starr Sports.

“You don’t need to be always visiting big restaurants and joints meanwhile you have this waakye seller at your place which is of quality and cost less as well so it’s about how to manage and save on what you are earning.

“You see a lot of people on social media looking good and showing off, but the truth is when you go to their homes they have nothing,” Fatawu added.
