Former President John Dramani Mahama has congratulated his son Shafik on his marriage.
Shafik Mahama reportedly tied the knot with his Algerian girlfriend Asma over the weekend.
Media reports suggested the pair said their vows at a private ceremony in the UAE.
In an Instagram post, Mr Mahama congratulated the couple on the marriage and wished them well.
He posted: “Congrats Shafik and Asma. God richly bless your union”.
Videos from what appears to be the reception of the wedding ceremony show the couple feeding each other wedding cake in front of friends and family.
