Member of the normalization committee Naa Odoforley Nortey says the Normalization Committee (NC) has been vindicated, following the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sports to dismiss the petition of Wilfred Osei Kwaku popularly known as ‘Palmer’.

The Tema youth owner had appealed against the decision of the GFA Normalization Committee that barred him from contesting in the 2019 GFA Presidential elections and prayed on CAS to reverse the decision to prevent him from contesting in any GFA the next election and additionally nullify the October 25 2019 elections and call for fresh elections to determine a new leader for the Ghana Football Association.

CAS finally delivered its verdict, dismissing all the claims of the Tema Youth Owner and endorsing the decision of the Elections Committee of the Normalization Committee to ban him from the Ghana FA elections.

Reacting to the CAS verdict in an interview with Starr 103.5FM, member of the NC and lawyer of the GFA on this case, Naa Odorfoley Nortey said, “I am not surprised with the ruling from CAS, the decision to disqualify him was clear and based on facts by the Normalization Committee. The decision of the NC was firm and the CAS verdict only affirmed our decision andthat is the best part for me and I am very happy about it. We have been vindicated by our decision”, she added.
