A Florida-based Ghanaian pastor, Sylvester Ofori, 35, has been arrested after allegedly shooting his wife, according to police in Orlando, USA.

Ofori killed his wife, Barbara Tommey, 27, outside of the Navy Federal Credit Union near the Mall at Millenia, Orlando police said Tuesday. Ofori is currently is in custody.

It happened on Gardens Park Boulevard in Orlando Tuesday morning. Authorities say the victim was an employee at the credit union.

Investigators say she was shot and killed near the front door of the bank by her husband.

Officials spent much of the day searching for Ofori, but a search warrant was served at his apartment and he was taken into custody.

The Police said the shooting was captured on security footage.

“You can tell that she’s trying to get inside. Unfortunately, he shot her outside of the establishment,” the Orlando Police Chief said.

A witness named only as Lisa said she saw the whole thing as she was waiting outside before the bank opened. “I’m shaken up right now, I’m still shaken up,” she said on a TV channel.

Mr. Ofori is being held at a County jail without bond on a charge of first-degree murder with a firearm.

Mr. Ofori is a pastor at the Floodgates of Heaven church and, describes himself as a prophet and motivational speaker.
