The General Manager of Accra Great Olympics Oluboi Commodore says the Dade lads could miss out on the GPL title due to government’s massive support for Karela United to win the ultimate.

Accra Great Olympics are second on the log with 30 points just a point adrift of leaders Karela United but Oluboi Commodore insists the way and manner the Ayinase based club is getting support from government with the likes of GNPC and Ghana Gas all sponsoring them could throw their chances of winning the GPL title for the second time in their history off-board.

“We are only second on the league table because the state is not supporting us like they are doing to Karela United with GNPC and Ghana Gas supporting them massively.

“It is wrong and should not be allowed because if the state has money, it should go into the league itself but not to a private limited liability company.

“We are just second because of that because no one competes with the state but we are not in the years of Republicans which was owned by Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah and was for the state and that is what is happening where only one out of the eighteen clubs is enjoying from government and that’s why we are second otherwise we would be first,” he told Starr Sports.
