The incident happened Tuesday around 4:30 PM in the evening as the victims were on their way to the farm.

Speaking to Kasapa FM’s Yaw Boagyan, an eyewitness Ishmael Addo said the taxi was on top speed with eight people on board.

According to him, they were from Ajumako Kokoben heading towards Breman Asikuma where the accident happened.

“The driver on top speed tried to overtake a taxi ahead of us. The car’s clutch and breaks failed so the driver lost control and hence rolled over several times.

“I didn’t see anything after the accident. I just realized that I was receiving treatment at Kokoben Clinic,” he said.

“As I am speaking. I am feeling pains in the spinal cord, chest, and shoulder. Its been recommended that I should be transferred immediately to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for treatment.”

Assembly Man for Ajumako Kokoben Electoral area HBernard Oduah Sampson has cautioned drivers in Ajumako Kokoben and its enclave to desist from overspeeding and wrongful overtaking.

He also appealed to President Akuffo Addo to come into their aid and construct the road from Ajumako Kokoben to Breman Asikuma.
