The Executive Director for GNPC Foundation Dr. Dominic Kwesi Eduah says the focus of the foundation for the year 2021 is to ensure all projects started are completed this year.

Speaking to the media after donating twenty (20) dustbins to the Sekondi Prisons in the Western Region, Dr Eduah said “This year we are mainly looking at completing all the projects we started last year, we have hundreds of uncompleted projects in all the sixteen regions of Ghana, so from January till now we have been on the fields to ensure the projects are completed”.

He also revealed that another focus of the GNPC foundation is to ensure that ten million Ghanaians lives are impacted within five years.

“We are changing the narrative, CSR activities used to be a philanthropist module; it used to be rendering kind gestures but we are saying it’s an investment and that is exactly the angle we are taken this, initially we had a couple of issues coming up as far as our style and module is concerned, some Ghanaians thought it was too much but trust me it is not too much to impact the lives of Ghanaians,” he stressed.

The Assistant Director of Prisons, Dr. Anthony Dadzie, who received the dustbins thanked the GNPC Foundation and appealed to him to help them fumigate the facility which is grappling with harmful insects.

The Sekondi Prisons currently has 516 inmates, and though it has been fumigated twice by the GNPC Foundation, officials say there is a need for another round to protect the inmates from insects such as bedbugs.
