Accra Hearts of Oak ended match-day 26 of the Ghana Premier League in top position, their first for over five years following their win over Eleven Wonders on Friday.

Kwadwo Obeng Junior’s solitary goal was enough to earn the Phobians all three points in the game.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko and WAFA shared the spoils at the Len Clay stadium after Justice Torsutsey scored for the away side to cancel out Abdul Ganiyu’s opener.

Elsewhere at the Accra Sports stadium, Great Olympics made light work of relegation threatened Inter Allies, beating them by a goal to nil.

On Sunday, Ebusua Dwarfs came back from a goal down to ensure they won all three points against Liberty Professionals. Seidu Abubakar and Enock Afram were on target for Dwarfs while Michael Laryea got the goal for coach Silas Tetteh’s boys.

Prince Opoku Agyeman was back on the scoresheet for Medeama SC, who saw off competition from AshantiGold at the Akoon Park.

Legon Cities having lost last weekend bounced back to winning ways on match-day 26, scoring two unanswered goals against Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports stadium.

The game between Elmina Sharks and King Faisal saw Kwadwo Frimpong’s second half strike give King Faisal all three points in Cape Coast, while Ali Huzaf was at the double for Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams as they recorded a 2-1 win over Bechem United.

Stephen Amankonah salvaged a point from the penalty spot for Berekum Chelsea who hosted Karela United in a 1-1 game at the Golden City Park.

The results means that Hearts of Oak despite being levelled on points with Asante Kotoko go top on goal difference with Medeama and Olympics following closely in third and fourth respectively.
