Some shops in the building opposite the SIC Mall at Makola Central in Accra have been engulfed by fire.
The fire which reportedly started from a single shop has spread to both the top and base floors of the three-storey structure.
Emergency services including the fire service are currently at the scene. Goods and properties running into several thousands of cedis are believed to have been burnt in the flames.
Reports say the fire Service station located near the burning shops had no water in their tanks when the fire started.
