The Executive Secretary of the Commission Alhaji Daud Sulemana Mahama has denied claims by some workers of the commission that he has divided their front since he took over the job.
Some staff also accused the Executive Secretary of not doing a lot to protect the commission from litigations.
Alhaji Sulemana Mahama whose appointment has been renewed by the President says reports of the allegations by staff have dented his reputation.
“The content of these publications has been hurtful and actually put my reputation into negative limelight.
“I assert that the publications are untrue and only aimed at vilifying my character and hard-won reputation. More importantly, such reportage could have been avoided if these media houses had been diligent and made basic enquiries from my office,” he wrote in a complaint letter to the National Media Commission.
Alhaji Daud Sulemana Mahama was appointed as the Executive Secretary of the Commission in August 2018 on a two-year contract. His contract ended in August 2020 and was asked to serve as the Acting Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission for one year.
