The Black Stars of Ghana triumphed over the Warriors of Zimbabwe by a lone goal today in the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Harare.
It was a slow pace game in the first 30 minutes at the National stadium in Harare until the captain of the Black Stars for the day, Thomas Partey scored a 25-yard free kick to give Ghana the lead.
Daniel Amartey nearly doubled the lead for Ghana before the stroke of halftime but his effort was cleared off the line.
In the second half, Mohammed Kudus hit the woodwork after strucking a sublime curler outside the 18 yard box.
Head Coach Milovan Rajevac brought in more fresh legs to get the second goal for Ghana with Daniel Kofi Kyere, Joseph Aidoo, Samuel Owusu, Andre Ayew and Caleb Ekuban coming on for Kamaldeen Suleyman, Alexander Djiku, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus and Benjamin Tetteh respectively.
Egyptian referee, Amin Omar brought the game to an end in the 93rd minute.
Ghana are on top of Group G with 9 points and would be hoping that South Africa drop points against Ethiopia.
Zimbabwe also sit bottom in Group G with just a point after four games.
