Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has said that the Hearts of Oak’s Pobiman project will have the same facilities as the Real Madrid training complex.

Hearts Of Oak signed a contract with K.A Estate Limited under the supervision of Turkish construction firm Prefabex for the construction of the Pobiman Academy Project last year. The project has seen a massive improvement in the last few months after the club prioritised the development of its infrastructure

The 20 acre ultra modern sporting academy will have dormitories to house players, 3 pitches, mini stadium, volleyball, basketball, gymnasium, swimming pool, staff residence, training centres etc.

Speaking on Extra-Time on Starr FM, Odotei revealed the Pobiman project is 80 percent complete and will be ready for use by the end of the year.

“The project of Hearts should not be different from Real Madrid’s. We are about 80% complete. We are hoping that by next month, Accra Hearts of Oak will move its training to Pobiman permanently, our under 20 will be housed there permanently and the division 2 will host their home matches there.

He added that, “By the end of the year, every operation of Hearts of oak will be at the Pobiman centre “

Odotei explained that the Pobiman training complex is part of developing Hearts of Oak into an important brand in Ghana and Africa.

“Hearts is trying to achieve something beyond football. Our vision is to build Hearts of oak into an important brand in Ghana and Africa.

“So it means we have to build a brand that will be fit for purpose and the objective of Hearts is to provide entertainment on the field.

The Phobians currently trains at the Saint Acqinas School Park and the Legon Park as they wait for the completion of the Pobiman Project
