Dr Kwame Kyei, Asante Kotoko Board Chairman has served Manhyia a notice of his intentions to resign from the post, Starr Sports has gathered.
The Ashanti monarch, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, who is also the life patron of the club is yet to receive the resignation letter, sources close to the club have revealed.
According to sources, Dr Kwame Kyei communicated his decision to resign from the club to Otumfuor through the chief of Staff at Manhyia.
However, his decision to exit has not been accepted by the King as he asked the Board Chairman to deliberate on the matter and get back to him.
The Other Board members have been served notice of Dr Kyei’s move and asked to deliberate on whether to approve or reject his request.
