Instruments of Africa (IOA), an African-owned music company, says its instruments are designed to offer the listener the best musical experience and a sense of pride in African innovation.

According to the founder and inventor of IOA, Dr. Ekeziel Olaleye, the company is an innovative company that specializes in creating contemporary products that are inspired by Africa’s heritage.

Speaking to Foster Aggor on Starr Drive Monday, Dr. Olaleye said Instruments of Africa (IOA) was born from a place of passion and pride for the continent.

He said the mission of IOA is to advance creativity with innovative ideas to get the world to listen to African music.

“When you play our guitars, you will get a sense of the rhythmic sounds, beautiful tones, and grooves that deliver euphoric satisfaction. Our guitars are carefully and intentionally designed, assembled, and tested to ensure users have the best musical experience and a sense of pride in African innovation. If an American picks up our guitar, he or she will be playing Africa with it. When you play our guitars, you will get a sense of the rhythmic sounds, beautiful tones, and grooves that deliver euphoric satisfaction.”

He further noted: “While Africa has contributed significantly to music globally, our goal is to create a line of instruments inspired by the genres of music and art rooted in the African heritage.”

The IOA guitars are inspired by and named after cities across the continent (Africa) to provide a sense of connection to its African heritage. IOA is on course to contribute to the legacy of music with a line of specially crafted guitars in the shape of Africa.
