Head of player affairs at the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana ( PFAG ),  Yusif Chibsah, has revealed  his outfit has filed an appeal on behalf of the players that were found guilty in the match fixing scandal between Ashgold and inter Allies.

The Ghana football Association slapped various bans on some players of Ashgold and inter allies for their role in manipulating the said game.

Speaking exclusively to Starr Sports’ Nana Ama Agyemang, the former Black Meteors captain , stated that , even though The PFAG  does not  condone match fixing, he believes some of the players are innocent and have to be given a fair hearing.

“As the mother body of the players, we  have filed an appeal and are awaiting a positive feedback from the status committee of the Ghana football association”

“We are not taking  sides  but I believe some of the players are innocent and need to be given a fair hearing he added ”

The sanctions placed on the players that were found guilty of match manipulation will take effect from  next season.
