Rihanna is tipping the global scale by launching her namesake beauty and skincare brands, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin in Africa.
On May 10, 2022, the American actor and musician announced that the cosmetics brand would be available in African countries, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Nigeria on May 27, 2022.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment!! Fenty Beauty & Fenty Skin are finally dropping in AFRICA!!!. On May 27, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin will be dropping in the following African countries: Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

This announcement follows Fenty announcing Bling Empire star Kane Lim as the newest ambassador of both Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, the release of Fenty Skin’s “Cookies N Clean” Detox Face Mask and the restock of Fenty Eau de Parfum from Fenty Beauty.

Fenty Beauty (stylized as FEИTY BEAUTY) was launched on September 8, 2017 by Rihanna. The brand is popular for its broad inclusivity across skin tones and gender, especially its Pro Filt’R foundation. The original foundation launch included 40 shades, since expanded to 50.

The inclusion of Fenty Beauty concealer includes 50 shades offering a wide variety to all skin types. The intent behind having so many shades to offer is to differentiate from other makeup companies that do not cater to a broad market. Fenty Beauty was named one of Time magazine’s best inventions of 2017.
