The Ghana U20 women’s team face a tough task in the group stage of the FIFA U20  world Cup having been paired in a group D alongside USA,  The  Netherlands, and Japan

The Black Princesses were placed in Pot 3 prior to the draw, and have been placed in a group  that include  two previous winners of the competition.

The United States are the most successful country of the competition winning  it on three occasions  while the  current holders,  Japan won the previous in 2018.

Ghana will be making their sixth appearance after failing to progrss beyond the  group stage in all five attempts.

In the other Groups,  Nigeria who are the other African representative have been pitted against  France, Canada and Korea Republic in Group C

Group B will have Germany,  Colombia,  New Zealand and Mexico  while Group A will also house  host Costa Rica, Australia,  Spain and Brazil.

The U20 Women’s World Cup will commence on August 10 in Costa Rica
