African football legend, Samuel Eto’o has backed reigning African player of the year, Sadio Mane to win the next Ballon d’Or this season.
The Cameroonian football administrator says the current generation of African players have proven and contributed to their respective clubs to show their worth. However, he recognised the efforts of Senegalese and Bayern Munich star, Sadio Mane.
“Now Africa has one of the best player in the world [Sadio Mane]. He will be the next Ballon d’Or winner in my opinion ” , the Fecafoot President proclaimed in an interview with GhOne TV.
Sadio Mane as been appreciated by both former colleagues and coaches alike for his efforts leading to the success of Senegal’s first Africa Cup triumph.
He’s expected to put up a convincing performance in his club, Bayern Munich in this season’s Champions league to make an appearance on the podium of the Ballon d’Or.
