The University of Mines and Technology has marked the 2022 International manager’s day with a symposium on the role of managers in driving operational excellence and profitability in uncertain times.

Senior Manager at AngloGold Ashanti, Ing Isaac Boakye Aduenin speaking at the commemoration admonished managers to be decisive in order to ensure the survival of their businesses in crises. According to him, most business have the tools and capabilities to weather the thought of storms.

“Most business have the tools and capabilities to weather even the toughest of storm however without leadership and resolve it is unlikely business will survive.” He alluded

Ing Isaac Boakye Aduenin is however of the view decisive leadership by managers is needed to realize that potential.

“It takes decisive action to grab the opportunity and place your business in a strong position to strive once the crises are over” he added

The commemoration organized by the department of management studies of the University of Mines and Technology was launch by vice chancellor of the university, Prof. R. K. Amankwah.
