A police officer with the anti-robbery unit of the Ashanti Regional Police Command has been burnt to death in a fire outbreak on Monday dawn, January 16.

The incident occurred at the Apromase police barracks in the Ejisu Municipality where he lived with his family.

The cop died together with his wife, and a child in the fire disaster.

The charred remains of the family of three have been deposited at the morgue for preservation until final burial.

The cause of the fire is immediately unknown.

Meanwhile, the IGP is heading for Kumasi following the fire incident that has taken the life of the officer and his family.
