Ghanaian philanthropist and entrepreneur Emmanuel Bortey Borketey has rewarded musicians and other persons in the creative arts
industry in the Upper East region for their outstanding performances during the Easter celebrations.

In a special event to reward winners of the Happy Man Upper East Music Awards and the Happy Man Miss Upper East beauty pageant, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Charger Limited Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey pledged his continuous support to the entertainment industry in the Upper East Region after the company sponsored and fulfilled it’s obligations to the fourth edition of the Happy Man Upper East Music Awards and the Happy Man Miss Upper East beauty pageant.

Marking the Easter festivities, the company fulfilled its promise to the category winners of the annual Happy Man Music Awards and the Happy Man Miss Upper East pageant by presenting cash prizes to the various winners at a special event held at Tap Hotel.

The winners of the Happy Man Upper East Music Awards received cash prizes, with the overall Artiste of the Year taking home twenty thousand and twenty two cedis (GHc 20.022), The most Popular Song of the Year winner was awarded with Five thousand cedis (GHc 5,000) the Best New Act received two thousand cedis (GHc 2,000) and promised monthly stipend of Ghc 500 for the year, and the Gospel Song of the Year winner was honored with Four thousand cedis (GHc 4,000).

Similarly, the Miss Upper East pageant winner was awarded Twelve thousand cedis (GHc 12,000) while the first runner-up received Secen thousand cedis (GHc 7,000).

In his address, CEO for Charger limited Emmanuel Bortey Borketey Promised his unwavering support for the creative arts industry in the Upper East region and emphasized the importance of the artist to invest in their craft and leverage on available platforms to make their music heard globally.
