A group of farmers across the country and friends on Monday May 29, 2023 picked the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential nomination forms for Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto to contest the party’s flag bearer race.

The group was at the NPP Headquarters in Accra to pick the forms on behalf of the former Minister for Agriculture.

Addressing the media after picking of the forms, Dr. Prince Amuzu, Spokesperson for Dr. Afriyie Akoto’s Campaign Team, indicated that the full cost of the forms was borne by the group of farmers who believe in the competence of Dr. Afriyie Akoto to lead the country as President, having delivered while he was a Minister.

He expressed gratitude to the farmers for their show of love and support.

“These farmers and friends are all across the country who have come out boldly to say they want to encourage Dr. Afriyie Akoto. To the delegates, Farmers and the good people of Ghana we say a big thank you for the support. Farmers across the country indicated that they want to do this, and he did not deny them the opportunity.
