The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) is urging businesses to proffer innovative marketing strategies to help the business community bounce back from the current economic situation.

According to CIMG, marketing cannot be business as usual if the business community wants to overturn economic setbacks.

CIMG President, Dr. Daniel Kasser-Tee disclosed that while speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the 34th CIMG awards aimed at awarding excellent performance in marketing in the country.

“The business environment has been different at least for the past three years and we expect that businesses cannot continue to run as they have always done in their business as usual mode”, Dr. Kasser Tee admonished.

CIMG President added that businesses must be smarter in their marketing.

“It is expected that business will have to find new ways to devise newer and sharper strategies to be able to overcome the numerous challenges we have faced in the global economy and Ghana not being an exception. So we expect that business will come to the table with sharper and stronger marketing strategies to help them turn around and become prosperous,” Dr. Kasser stated.
