Black Stars have moved up four places in the latest FIFA rankings, from 68th to 64th.

Their incredible comeback victory over Mali on June 6 in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers marked the start of their return. Ghana won 2-1, with goals from Jordan Ayew and Ernest Nuamah in the second half.

The Black Stars have climbed to 12th in Africa, marking their first upward move in a while, ending a seven-game winless streak in June.

Ghana, the four-time African champions, secured a thrilling 4-3 victory against the Central African Republic, securing a joint-top position in Group I in the qualifiers and boosting their FIFA rankings.

On the global stage, Argentina remains at the top of the rankings, followed closely by France and Belgium.

The Black Stars’ recent performances have revitalized the team, instilling hope and confidence as they aim for further success in upcoming qualifiers and competitions.

Black Stars are set to prepare for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the remaining 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
