Amadu Nurudeen, Coach of FC Samartex 1996 has attributed his team’s first-ever league title win to good structured performances.

The club who only gained promotion to the premier league last season clinched the historic feat on Sunday with a 1-0 win over Bibiani Gold Stars, rendering their last two games a mere formality.

In an interview on the Game on GHOne TV, he attributed the victory to his player’s improved mental and technical abilities.

“I think that first of all, we had a good pre-season and the structures put in place, the management, the investor, and the technical team I think we all worked towards this remarkable feat”.

“Apart from that the players were very committed, very responsive to the training sessions, we worked very hard and mentally prepared them on some sense of belief and confidence, and they had that belief in them and that a lot of elements, being technical, psychological, tactically a coach will be there through these elements” he added.

Samartex are set to be crowned champions in their final home game of the season against Accra Lions.
