Head Coach of the Ghana National team, the Black Stars, Coach Otto Addo has declared his support for Afrobeats and his admiration for music talents like Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, King Promise, Mr Eazi, as well as rising Ghanaian star, Black Sherif.
Speaking in a recent interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat, the former international footballer disclosed that he is a huge fan of Afrobeats.
He described that the Afrobeats genre is taking over most playlists in Europe and other parts of the world.
He said, “Afrobeats is taking over the world, I support anything Afrobeats music. Afrobeats to the world. My top five artists are Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, King Promise, Mr Eazi and Black Sherif.”
Otto Addo was appointed in March 2024, and this is the second time he has led the team, having led the team from March 2022 to November 2022. Under his leadership, the Black Stars have secured some significant victories in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
