EIB Network’s Empire FM has received two prestigious nominations for the 2024 Western Regional Tourism Awards, organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority.

The station is nominated for “Best Event Organizer of the Year” and the “Tourism-Oriented Media Award.”

Empire FM, known for its exceptional broadcasting, has also established a strong reputation as an events media entity, particularly through its flagship annual event, TadiFest. The station’s contributions extend to regular club activations, health walks, awareness campaigns, and sporting activities, all aimed at highlighting the Western Region’s appeal.

The 2024 Regional Tourism Awards is set to take place on Friday, September 20, 2024, at The Grove Essipon Beach Resort in Essipon. This year’s awards are organized under the theme “Celebrating Innovation and Recognizing Excellence in Ghana’s Tourism Sector.”

The event aims to recognize, celebrate, and reward industry practitioners, individuals, corporate organizations, enterprises, and suppliers who have demonstrated excellence and commitment to the growth and development of Ghana’s tourism industry. It also seeks to promote healthy competition among operators and strengthen the relationship between the Ghana Tourism Authority and its stakeholders.

Winners from the regional awards will advance to compete in the National Tourism Awards.
