Prophet Kumchacha has made a startling revelation that former Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan deliberately missed the 2010 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal penalty against Uruguay because of his political affiliations.

According to him, Gyan, until recently, a member of the Manifesto team of the NPP Flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia missed the penalty to stop then NDC government from gaining any credit.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, September 14, 2024, Prophet Kumchacha stated that Asamoah Gyan could’ve scored that penalty but chose not to.

“Asamoah Gyan deliberately missed the 2010 penalty which happened on 2nd July because NDC was in power. Asamoah Gyan could’ve scored the penalty but NDC was in power as at that time and since Asamoah is affiliated with the NPP government, he chose to miss it,” Kumchacha said.

“Asamoah Gyan deliberately missed the penalty to disgrace the NDC government, ensuring that the party would face humiliation instead of being celebrated.”

The controversial man of God also commented on the sudden withdrawal of Asamoah Gyan from active partisan politics.

“Majority of the wise NPP members are gradually leaving the party and the less productive members are the ones left,” he noted.
