Former President John Dramani Mahama has cut sod for the construction of a 500-seater sports facility in Bole-Bamboi aimed at providing the youth with the resources to develop their sporting skills.
Financed by the opposition leader’s brother, Alhaji Yusif Suleman, the establishment will contain a football field with changing rooms, volleyball and tennis courts and a swimming pool.
The facility, when completed will sharpen the talents of young people in the area. It also expected to keep them healthy even as it creates entertainment opportunities through the games and activities held at the facility.
The sports complex will also create job opportunities for the town’s skilled and unskilled youth.
Former president Mahama stressed the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) commitment to develop talent to boost capacity building among the population.
