The company undertaking the supply and distribution of Laptop Computers to teachers under the government’s One Teacher – One Laptop programme says the process has come to a ‘successful end’.

Over three hundred thousand teachers who operate under the auspices of the Ghana Education Service (GES) were to benefit from the initiative intended to digitalize teaching and research among teachers.

A statement issued by the company over the weekend said, “We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the nationwide supply, training and subsequent distribution of Computer Laptops to qualified teachers (Kindergarten, Primary, Junior and Senior High Schools), teachers on-study leave and non-teaching Staff under the Ghana Education Service (GES)”.

The company said they have communicated and published its 24/7 Aftercare Centers dotted across the country to provide continuous customer and technical assistance to ourTeachers.

“Our user-friendly katcare App allows the booking of repair services and the purchase of Laptop accessories. Teachers may also call toll-free line 0800790555 to report any complaints or enquiries”, the statement added.  

The company expressed gratitude to the teacher unions; Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT), stakeholders, the government, Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service and the regulatory institutions for working to ensure a successful execution.

“ As a local firm, we are indeed gratified to have contributed towards the delivery of digital aided advancement in teaching in Ghana and remain committed to leapfrogging technology to transform all sectors of the Ghanaian economy”, the statement concluded.
