The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has promised to look into the sale and acquisition of state lands and the destruction of the environment under the current government.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament, Alhassan Suhuyini, MP for Tamale North Constituency and ranking member on lands and natural resources, made this assurance on behalf of his colleagues.

“The government’s handling of state resources and protection of our environment has been nothing short of abysmal,” Suhuyini said. “They have shown a blatant disregard for transparency and accountability, and it’s time we hold them accountable.”

Hon. Suhuyini condemned the government’s strategy of misinformation, saying its purpose to “douse the hope of the Ghanaian people in any future accountability.” He assured that the NDC will not let Ghanaians lose hope and that they will ensure accountability when they come to power.

“We will investigate the questionable sale and acquisition of state lands under this regime, and the unconscionable destruction of our environment,” Hon. Suhuyini vowed. “We owe it to the Ghanaian people to protect their resources and ensure that those who have mismanaged them are held accountable.”

“The coming NDC government will prioritize transparency and accountability in the management of state resources and protection of the environment,” Hon. Suhuyini cited. “We will not let the current government’s failures define our nation’s future.”
