The founder and head pastor of The Maker’s House Chapel International, Dr. Boadi Nyamekye has stated his thoughts on the payments of tithes as a Christian.
Speaking on Starr Chat, with Bola Ray, Dr. Boadi explained that , “In New Testament theology, in the Pauline Epistles, he’s saying that God loves a cheerful giver. It means that giving in itself shouldn’t be obligatory, but it should be revelatory.”
He continued, “Giving in itself should not be something done because you want to satisfy religious tenets.”
Dr. Boadi Nyamekye further went on to explain why tithing is not obliged. “You give out of relationships. It is revelatory. Anything done outside the relationship is done whilst dragging your feet.”
He continued, “I give because I have a relationship with God. I give to my wife because I have a relationship with her. I give to my kids because I have a relationship with my kids”.
Moreover, Dr. Boadi mentioned his thoughts on what’s more satisfying to do as a pastor. He said, “It is a revelation I have that God’s work needs to be spread abroad. That is why I will give my money to the evangelism team, the missions department, and all of that, that the gospel should go out”.
“It is not because if I don’t give, I’m going to go to hell.” He concluded on his thoughts on the payment of tithe.
