The Asogli State Council has extended warm congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his re-election as President of the Republic of Ghana.
In a statement, the Council described the just-ended election as a decisive victory, stating: “Our warm congratulations on your decisive victory in the just-ended elections. The margin of your victory is a testament to the confidence and trust Ghanaians have placed in your leadership and vision for our beloved nation.”
The Council expressed confidence that the President-elect will honor the trust Ghanaians have placed in him by working tirelessly to create opportunities for all.
The statement continued: “Your Excellency, the hope of an entire nation now rests on your shoulders. The people of Ghana have spoken resoundingly against dishonesty, lawlessness, arrogance, corruption, economic mismanagement, joblessness, and the destruction of our lands and rivers, and have entrusted you with the mandate to lead a united Ghana toward prosperity.”
It also expressed optimism that the President-elect will prioritize the pressing desires of Ghanaians, including equitable economic growth, stability, job creation, and infrastructure development.
The Asogli State Council pledged its support and partnership in all initiatives aimed at promoting peace and development, bringing renewed hope to all Ghanaians.
