The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has responded to allegations that Member of Parliament Annoh Dompreh was distributing money at a polling center.
According to eyewitnesses, Dompreh only gave an undisclosed amount of money to a woman, instructing her to share it with others. Another eyewitness corroborated the account, sparking concerns about potential vote-buying.
The NPP has not released an official statement on the matter, but party agents have denied the allegations, dismissing them as baseless and unfounded.
The incident has, however, raised questions about the integrity of the electoral process and the role of money in influencing voter decisions.
As the investigation into the allegations continues, the Electoral Commission (EC) has urged voters to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
The EC has also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a free and fair election, and to upholding the integrity of the electoral process.
