Kofi Osei-Agyei, Eastern Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has commended the voting process, describing it as “transparent and smooth” so far.
He attributed the absence of long queues to Ghanaians’ tendency to wait until the last minute but expressed optimism that the sunny weather would encourage more people to come out and vote.
According to Osei-Agyei, the verification process has been seamless, with no complaints from agents across the region.
Although some areas experienced slight delays in starting the voting process, everything appears to be proceeding smoothly.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana has been working diligently to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
As reported by Kpabitey Prince from Suhum in the Eastern Region, the overall atmosphere suggests that Ghana is on track to having a successful and peaceful election.
With the Electoral Commission’s independence enshrined in the 1992 constitution, the country can trust that the electoral process will be managed fairly and efficiently.
