Adamus Resources Ltd has issued a strong rebuttal to recent false claims regarding the existence of an Interim Management Committee (IMC) that was allegedly denied access to the Nzema Mine site after they had forcibly and illegally entered the premises of the Company.
According to the company, the misinformation has been propagated by Allan Morrison, a New Zealand national, and his associates, Isaac Ackun (a Ghanaian) and Laurent Gaba (a Togolese national), through certain news portals without any effort to verify the facts with the company.
In a statement, Adamus Resources clarified that no IMC has been put in place at the company.
“To set the record straight, there is no IMC in place at Adamus Resources Limited. In a ruling delivered on 12 December 2024, the High Court, presided over by her Ladyship Justice Jennifer Abena Dadzie (Justice of the Court of Appeal sitting as an additional High Court Judge), determined that all pending interlocutory applications and orders — including the order dated 27 July 2023, which the purported Interim Management Committee (IMC) seeks to leverage for its claims-have effectively lapsed and are rendered void.”
The statement further added that the High Court’s decision was made following a request from Adamus Resources Ltd and Nguvu Mining Ltd’s lawyers to withdraw the ongoing suit.
“This declaration was made when the High Court delivered its ruling on the application of lawyers of Adamus Resources Limited and Nguvu Mining Ltd to withdraw the suit. Prior to this, another ruling had been made by a different High Court presided over by Justice Loddoh, striking out all the counterclaims made by Allan Morrison and Adamus Resources Pty Ltd.”
“Based on the High Court’s clear ruling, we are left to question the true intention behind the false claims being made and the false media publications about the existence of an IMC. To this end, we urge all media houses to verify these facts and report fairly and accurately, as these reports have the effect of adversely affecting the company’s operations.”
The company also reiterated that any official statements or communications will come directly from the Adamus Resources Ltd communications bureau.
“We strongly advise the public to disregard any assertions or reports regarding a supposed Interim Management Committee (IMC) exerting control over Adamus Resources Limited. Any official communication from the company shall be from the communications bureau and on the letterhead of Adamus Resources Limited. Anything contrary to that must be treated with the highest level of contempt it deserves.”
