Lecturers at the University of Ghana have declared their support for the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, ahead of the December elections.
In a statement, the lecturers emphasised that their endorsement is not based on partisan bias but on Mahama’s superior vision for the country and his commitment to restoring Ghana.
The lecturers explained that their endorsement is based on their professional judgment as analysts of policy and society.
They expressed concern over the country’s current challenges, including the declining value of the cedi and the deteriorating state of the economy, as well as pollution of water bodies.
According to them, Mahama’s leadership is crucial for addressing these issues and rebuilding the nation’s trust.
“We have chosen to name John Mahama and the NDC not out of partisan favor but because the evidence of their superior vision and commitment to Ghana’s restoration is clear and compelling”, they stated.
