The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has refuted recent claims about ongoing recruitment activities, calling them false and without merit.
A statement dated Monday, December 23, signed by NHIA Chief Executive, Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye, the Authority clarified that all recruitment activities for 2024 were concluded in October.
The Authority also emphasised that appointments and confirmations for director-level positions are handled solely by the Public Services Commission.
According to them, while the NHIA communicates the outcomes to applicants, the final decision rests entirely with the Commission.
The NHIA urged the public to disregard any false claims or threats about last-minute recruitment activities, reaffirming its commitment to operational transparency and adherence to established procedures.
“The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) wishes to categorically refute recent assertions circulating in some quarters about ongoing or recent recruitment exercises. We assure the general public that all recruitment activities by the NHIA were concluded in October 2024.”
“These exercises were conducted in strict adherence to the law, relevant regulations, procedures, and best practices, ensuring transparency, fairness, and meritocracy.
The NHIA would like to reiterate that appointments and confirmations for director level positions are sole functions of the Public Services Commission and does not fall within the purview of the Authority. The Authority may however communicate such outcomes to the applicants after receipt of a full report from the Public Services Commission.”
“The NHIA advises the public to disregard any false claims or threats regarding last minute recruitments. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all our operations. We encourage anyone with questions or concerns to contact the NHIA directly through our official communication channels for clarification.”
