The Coalition of Former NDC Executives (CONFEX) has commended President-elect John Dramani Mahama for launching the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative, aimed at tackling corruption and enhancing accountability.
In a statement, signed by Anthony Gyampo Convener, Coalition of Former NDC Executives (CONFEX), the group described the initiative as a pivotal step in restoring public confidence in government institutions and the fight against corruption.
“We commend His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to ORAL, which reflects his dedication to transparency, accountability, and good governance. This initiative will undoubtedly restore the confidence of Ghanaians in their government,” the statement said.
The group also congratulated John Mahama on his landslide victory in the 2024 general elections, which saw him secure a margin of 1.7 million votes over the NPP candidate. They described the victory as a testament to the trust and confidence Ghanaians have in his leadership and vision.
The NDC’s campaign, built on messages of hope, unity, and progress, resonated strongly with the electorate.
The party’s success in securing over 180 parliamentary seats, representing a two-thirds majority, further highlights the public’s endorsement of their governance agenda.
“This victory reflects the faith Ghanaians have in His Excellency J.D. Mahama’s plans to drive growth and development. We are confident in his ability to lead Ghana to a brighter future,” the statement added.
The former executives reaffirmed their support for Mahama’s administration, expressing pride in his return to the presidency and optimism for his efforts to improve the nation’s governance.
CONFEX concluded by extending warm wishes to the President-elect and the NDC, pledging their unwavering support to the incoming administration.
