Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Director of Elections and Information Technology for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed confidence that the incoming government of President-elect John Dramani Mahama and Vice President-elect Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang will restore dignity and integrity to the presidency.
This comes after widespread perceptions that the previous administration, led by Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, was marred by corruption and scandals.
Speaking ahead of Mahama’s inauguration, Dr. Boamah, stated that the Mahama-Opoku-Agyemang presidency marks a new era of dignity and integrity, and will activate the 24-Hour Economy Policy, a key pillar in their agenda to revitalize Ghana’s economy.
To achieve this, Mahama has appointed Augustus Goosie Tanoh, a renowned economist and statesman, as the lead architect of the 24-Hour Economy policy.
As Ghanaians welcome their new leaders, expectations are high for a brighter future under the Mahama-Opoku-Agyemang administration.
Dr. Boamah said, “I believe John Mahama and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s presidency signals a restoration of dignity and integrity to the presidency. And that is where the 24-hour will be activated from.”
